The World (full poem)

The World
By Gabby Howard

Today we know the world is round,
Just like the
 world was flat.
But it could be a triangle,
Or something like that.

Why someday in the future,
I'm sure that they'll all say:
Remember when the
 world was round?
It's octagon today.

For if the world was truly round,
why wouldn't we just roll?
Across the stars and into space,
then crash into a hole?
Are we afraid of rolling off,
or falling to the ground?
Because as far as I can tell,

We’re all still safe and sound.

Half Empty?
